Shuttleworth announces 2019 show season visitors

An increase in the number of visiting display items will enhance Shuttleworth Collection shows during the 2019 season, with the 7 July Military Airshow boasting a particularly strong line-up of five airworthy Hurricanes and Fighter Aviation Engineering’s P-47D Thunderbolt, G-THUN. The Season Premiere event on 5 May will see the first flying appearance from the Aircraft Restoration Company’s Lysander, along with Tony de Bruyn’s OV-10 Bronco, a UH-1 ‘Huey’, an L-19 Bird Dog, the debut of the World War One Aviation Heritage Trust’s Albatros D.Va, and the Plane Sailing PBY Catalina and a C-47 Skytrain landing on at Old Warden for the first time. The Family Airshow on 4 August will see Christoph Zahn bringing his spectacular Habicht glider replica (pictured) to the UK for the first time since 2012. More details at www.shuttleworth.org.
