Mosquito and Lancaster taxi run prizes help celebrate LAHC 30th anniversary

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (LAHC) at East Kirkby is offering the opportunity for a member of the public to win the chance to control its Avro Lancaster VII, NX611 Just Jane, on a taxi run and to win a taxi ride in the de Havilland Mosquito NFII, HJ711, that is newly resident there.

The two unique experiences will be auctioned on 22 September at 14.30hrs. The two prizes will help to raise funds for the continued restoration of Just Jane to airworthy condition. In addition, there will be other unique prizes in the auction, which will be held at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and online through auctioneers Golding, Young and Mawer.

This forms part of the LAHC’s 30th anniversary day, being staged at East Kirkby on Saturday 22 September. It is hoped to run the Mosquito for the first time at this event, which will also feature two taxi runs by Just Jane, together with flying displays by Peter Teichman’s Spitfire PRXI and an Avro Anson.
