‘Aeroplane’ remembers the TSR2

The September issue of Aeroplane contains an exclusive 28-page supplement on the BAC TSR2 strike aircraft, the cancellation of which provokes heated debate to this day.

Part of the magazine’s RAF100 celebrations, the special section includes four newly commissioned articles on different aspects of the stillborn TSR2 programme. Denis J. Calvert interviews the only surviving TSR2 test pilot, Don Knight, and provides the recollections of his late colleague Jimmy Dell as recorded some years ago; leading British military aviation historian Chris Gibson investigates the TSR2’s weapon system and evaluates the possible replacement contenders; and former TSR2 flight test engineer Mike Wilson recalls the challenges of developing the type’s head-up display.

The issue is only on sale for just over a week longer, and has been selling especially fast. To guarantee your copy, order it at https://aeroplanemonthly.keypublishing.com/the-magazine/view-issue/?issueID=7420.
